Lane assignment signs guide road users to a line of traffic to optimise traffic flow. At multi-lane access points, they show those lanes that are closed and allow traffic to be diverted to neighbouring lanes. They are widely installed on the approaches to toll stations, tunnels and motorway exits.

Appropriate sizes

The large range must be used on two-way roads (authorized maximum speed: 110 or 130 km/h) on other roads, both ranges can be used.
In tunnels, where the light environment is homogeneous and constant, the dimension of the square can be reduced to the size of the symbol.
